Last year’s election proved what we already knew: the power of the Black vote makes all the difference. As we continue to advocate for better, safer and equitable communities, we have to do the work to ensure our elected offices are occupied by those who are committed to upholding those values.
If you care about criminal justice, you should be voting. If you care about quality education, you should be voting. If you care about affordable healthcare and climate justice, you should be voting.
Remember, judges are elected officials, sheriffs are elected officials, the head of the board of education is an elected official, and the list goes on. If your community is holding elections today, please do not sit this one out.
Tell a friend to tell a friend. Every vote counts. Every election matters.
Fighting Forward,
