The San Luis Obispo County Branch is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization with over 400 members.

The NAACP’s (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) principal objective is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of United States and eliminate race prejudice. The NAACP seeks to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through the democratic processes.
